These next were taken with a 35mm manual film camera... they came out better than I expected. I captured both photographs at castle Bolton, North Yorkshire last year.

    Film cameras are really great. I think they have paradoxically much more to offer then digital:) at least if the person holding a camera knows what to do XD But that's just my opinion:)
    Lovely shots. The second one looks even scary haha(waiting for some ghost to come^^)and first one is just perfect. Love dof and tones!

      I do find the quality to be better with a 35mm than done digitally. With a 35mm, I achieve clearer details and DOF is stronger.. in all I find the imagery much more special and the overall experience of using a film camera quite rewarding. The only set back is the up-sizing of an image afterwards, its quite a struggle with a small format.

      The second image does look 'scary' thanks for your comment :) And glad you like the first! :D

    Oh finally I found someone who sees advantages of 35mm!! :) I'm doing research now, gonna buy some 120mm^___^ (can't wait) Up-sizing is a problem, you're right, but right now I don't need that so I enjoy ordinary format:)

      I used a medium format camera for the first time at college (mamiya) about three years ago and the quality from one of those is simply amazing. I would love to own one but would also like to develop the film myself. To be in a darkroom is so exciting and even more rewarding when you have the final results. I had some 120 films left to develop when college was over and I hated handing them over to a processing shop. I find the 120mm a much better size than 35mm. I agree with you on the 'up-sizing', its definatly no problem, especially if ther'e for your own viewing... quality over size :)
