This was another strong one. I took a similar image before this one and staged a ball but in this case the football was already there, so i used the opportunity to include it in my shot. The message being that the space could be potentially turned into a play area. I composed the houses in the background to further the idea. The area was in the middle of these houses and roads going all the way around. I took the image in Burnley.
I thank you for taking a look at my blog, however I would much prefer encouraging criticism about my photographic work. In answer to the above question; I took the photograph in an overgrown area that was previously a primary school on Todmorden road in Burnley.
So, those houses are the back of Lyndhurst Road? I think that puts the shot in Bank Hall ward, so why not have a word with your councillors (e.g. Julie Cooper, http://www.burnley.gov.uk/site/scripts/councillors_info.php?councillorID=92&viewBy=specificParty). Perhaps they would like to organise the play area you're suggesting?
Hello and wellcome to my blogspot. Last year I completed a National Diploma in Photography, at Blackburn College. I have one blog to show my work through college and other images, which I produce in my own time.
Recently I have been using my spare time to learn more about Photoshop and create images that are more than just a captured moment and turning them into something surreal and artistic.
I would have liked to have progressed into the wonderful world of Illustration but instead I followed my heart with my passion for Photography.
Thank you for visiting and if you can spare a little time... please leave your comments, good or bad :)

ReplyDeleteI like the depth of field in this photo, the football in there helps to achieve the goal of the photo.
ReplyDeleteNicely done :)
