Another medium format image. I liked the field detail and the water collection. If I had been able to wait longer, I would have held on for a much more colourful sky to create mood.

This is one from my previous location brief. I used a medium format camera, specifically the Mamiya rb 67. I took the photograph in along the River Ure in Wensly, Yorkshire. I was very pleased with the colours, it was taken just before sun down. I havn't touched the image up in any way.

I took these photographs at the allotment. We prepared a fire and went up one evening to light it. We stayed up till late so I decided to catch a few shots. I didn't use a tripod, I just had my camera. I used slow shutter speeds and just held the camera as still as I could. I was amazed that some of them turned out!

I like the eye catches in this portrait.

These two work well because facial expression and movement are natural. I captured them as she was preparing a pose.

I composed these images for a specialist studio brief. I used layered warm toned, voile fabric to create a soft, textured barrier and had my model pose behind them. I was pleased with the bodily curves and skin tones.

These are my final images for a specialist location brief. I decided to to produce images based around autumn and winter, rural landscape. I used my Canon 40D camera and a tripod. The images were taken around Hurst Wood, Burnley and Aysgarth, North Yorkshire. I choose the three strongest images from each season and created a triptych for each.

1/15 F-Stop Iso 100. I love this one but I wish I had of put the main tree in more accurate focus to create a much stronger sense in depth in field. I love the colours in the background through the silhouetted trees.
1/30 F5.6 Iso 100

1/30 F5.6 Iso 100.

I love the colours in this one and there are many different textures. Again a slow shutter speed and big aperture. I'm not so sure about the tree to the far left, is it too distracting or does it balance it?
I had a go with colour film, using a medium format camera (Mamiya RB67). I walked around Hurst Wood in Burnley and captured several autumn shots. This was one of my favourites, I like the angle, your eye is drawn up the tree trunk and then around the warm tones leaves. I used a slow shutter speed of 1/8 of a second and F-Stop of 4.0. Iso was 100.
I produced this one in a studio environment. I used coloured gel's over the lighting to create stronger, warmer tone variation as opposed to the silver ring and clear crystal on a plain white background. I particularly liked the shadow, it appears to show movement and works well with the fiery tones that surround it. The facets look good, these stand out because I used a black gel, which shone up from underneath the table.

I composed this image for a fashion portrait task. I used studio lighting, specifically daylight flash, softbox and honeycomb. I wanted to show off the oversized eyelashes. I like the light overtaking on the left and bright expression.
